Sleep Dentistry

Sleep apnea is the term for interrupted sleep due to frequent or ongoing airway patency issues, causing one to gasp for air multiple times a night. The pauses in the breathing are as a result of an airway blockage due to collapsed throat muscles, making sleep apnea a potential serious health condition as too many times a night one can stop breathing. In order to resume breathing one's brain must wake up, which causes disruptions to the sleep. It has been called "the silent killer", as fatigue can result in many possible accidents.

We work together with the medical profession in diagnosing and treating this condition, which if undiagnosed usually results in reduced life span of the patient as well as altered quality of life.
