We are proud to use the new technology available in dentistry today. Those pieces of equipment allow us to work more efficiently and render the dental appointment more comfortable. Some of the latest additions include:

Digital x-rays – A lot less radiation than before (which was already very low). No more miniature x-rays – you can easily view images on the computer screen and no more waiting for them to develop (which means no chemicals and less environmental impact).

Intra-oral cameras — Patients can see the condition of the teeth the way we do and visualize the problems. It aids in making informed decisions about their dental health.

Laser Cavity detection – This equipment enables us to detect small cavities substantially earlier. Therefore, avoiding unnecessary loss of tooth structure with very conservative treatment, often done without anaesthetic.

Mayomonitor – This devise is used to deliver virtually painless, gentle electrical stimulation to facial and jaw muscles to achieve a comfortable and relaxed state. Ultra low frequency TENS stands for Transcutaneous Electrical Neural Stimulation.

K7- non-invasive computerized electronic instrumentation. This computer provides the following tests for diagnoses of TMD (Temporomandibular Disorders), Chronic Headaches, Migraines and Craniofacial Pain (TMJ symptoms):

- Surface Electromyography ( EMG) – By detecting electrical impulses originating in the muscles it provides precise information about muscle activity and tonus.

- Computerized mandibular scanning/jaw tracking – By scanning the movement of the lower jaw it provides data to aid in diagnosing disc dislocations, locking of the lower jaw, movement deviations, bite discrepancies etc.

- Electrosonography – By recording temporomandibular joint (TMJ) sounds and vibrations it helps in evaluating function or dysfunction. It aids in diagnosing Degenerative Joint Disease (DJD) – clicking , popping, locking, crepitus etc.
